Before the doors of The Rose Golf Club open in 2026, its founders wanted a downtown retreat for members to gather, entertain, and experience the brand’s signature sophistication. Banko Design was brought in to bring that vision to life.
Nestled within the new Drake Building in the heart of Athens, this 4,000-square-foot city club is a study in refined contrast: classic yet contemporary, tailored yet inviting. Rich layers of leather, velvet, and stone create a mood that’s both polished and comfortable, while custom millwork, brass-inlaid flooring, and bespoke art anchor the space in timeless luxury.
Members are greeted by a series of intimate moments — a foyer that welcomes, a library that envelops, and a bar that commands attention. The marble slab bar, left intentionally uninterrupted, becomes the room’s centerpiece, framed by curated antiques, custom mosaics, and a palette inspired by the Cherokee rose. Every detail, from the commissioned art to the handcrafted drapery, nods to both the upcoming golf club and the city it calls home.
