THE MALLORY

Our design concept for this multifamily project was rooted in an eclectic take on country club aesthetics, blending a mallard-duck-inspired theme, traditional sophistication, and youthful energy to create a space that feels both elevated and playful. A rich, jewel-toned palette set the tone for the development, immediately evident with a custom chandelier in the lobby inspired by the intricate beauty of stained glass.

Designed with a younger, professional demographic in mind, the overall vibe is a fusion of cheeky fun and timeless charm. Playful yet refined FF&E choices add a vibrant contrast to warm wood tones and traditional materials, including plaid wallcoverings, parquet and herringbone wood-look flooring, and Persian-inspired rugs. In the lobby, feather-patterned ceramic tiles welcome residents with an artistic touch, while the clubroom features a custom matchbox wallcovering. The art package is bold and unconventional, merging traditional oil prints with striking abstract accents and photography.

A standout feature is the duck-pin bowling amenity enhanced by dark and moody elements that feel at once cozy and edgy. The lanes feature a custom, marsh-inspired abstract wallcovering as the backdrop. The gentlemen’s club-inspired leather banquettes in the lounge add a rich, inviting texture, while duck decoys from the client’s grandfather’s collection provide a nostalgic, personal touch. An “Instagrammable” moment was created in this funky amenity space with a playful neon “What the Duck?” sign that captures the cheeky, youthful spirit of the space.
